About Us

We are a boutique Dallas firm, with a winning track record and decades of experience in litigating civil cases throughout the state of Texas. Contract disputes, construction litigation, probate litigation, and estate planning are our specialty. We have experience resolving disputes both in and out of court.

 

While we prefer to avoid costly trials for our clients, when a case does make it to trial, we are very comfortable in the court room and know how to navigate the complicated system to a successful resolution. We always have our clients' best interest at the center of what we do. Meet The Team

Christopher M. Albert 
Attorney - Partner

Christopher M. Albert is a partner with Albert & Stowe PLLC - Mr. Albert graduated from Baylor University in 2000 with both his Juris Doctor and M.B.A. degrees. While in law school, Mr. Albert worked as a judicial extern for the Honorable Jane J. Boyle, United States District Judge for the Northern District of Texas. He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States; the Texas Supreme Court; the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit; the United States District and Bankruptcy Courts for the Northern, Eastern, Southern and Western Districts of Texas and all Courts of the State of Texas. Mr. Albert has been a certified Civil mediator since 1998 and served for years as an outside mediator for the E.E.O.C. He is regularly appointed to serve as a mediator and Ad Litem by various courts in Dallas County.  

Amy J. Stowe
Attorney - Partner

Amy J. Stowe is a partner with Albert & Stowe PLLC - Ms. Stowe is a cum laude graduate who earned departmental distinction from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, with a degree in Journalism. In 1997 she earned a Juris Doctor from Baylor University. Her legal career began with a focus on complex business litigation and probate litigation. Ms. Stowe expanded her practice to include significant ad valorem tax litigation for commercial and industrial property owners. Ms. Stowe testified before the Texas Legislature and presented at numerous legal seminars regarding ad valorem taxation matters. Most recently, Ms. Stowe has added CCPA Privacy Compliance and Audit services to her knowledge base working with Fortune 50 companies. Ms. Stowe is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States; the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit; the United States District for the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas and all Courts of the State of Texas. 

Deborah “Deb” Wakefield 
Attorney – Senior Counsel

Deborah “Deb” Wakefield was admitted to the Texas bar in 1990 and the Georgia Bar in 2004. She received two undergraduate degrees from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, a B.A. in English (1978) and a B.S. in Business Management (1981). Deborah received her J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles, California in 1990 where she graduated in the top 15% of her class.

While in law school, Deborah served as a staff member on the Southwestern Law Review and participated in the Moot Court Honors Program where she was named 2nd Place Oralist at the National Administrative Law Competition (1989). Deborah was also recognized as a Southwestern Dean's Scholar 1988-89.

In her third year of law school, she served as a Law Clerk Intern to Justice Joan Dempsey Klein, the Presiding Justice of the California Court of Appeals.

After law school, Deborah worked as Briefing Attorney to United States Magistrate Judge Alex H. McGlinchey in the Northern District of Texas Fort Worth Division where she was sworn in by United States District Judge Eldon Mahon.  Later she served as Senior Assistant City Attorney for the City of Atlanta's Labor and Employment Litigation Section and as Labor and Employment Staff Attorney. Since then, Deborah has also managed her private practice. She has been at Albert & Stowe since November 2019.

Deborah is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Northern , Middle, and Southern Districts of Texas, the United States District Court for the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia, and the Fifth and Eleventh United States Courts of Appeal.
